Find your funny
One of the things that you may be experiencing is; your sense of humour failure. For whatever reason, once this leaves you, it is a magical mystery tour to find it again. It is natural to think, 'why should I be laughing at anything when I feel so sad inside'.
Don't feel guilty about laughing, it's not disrespectful to your loved one, merely allowing yourself a tiny light relief from your pain.
Give yourself permission to find something funny.
Remember your loved one's sense of humour, their laughter and smile.
Finding my funny happened when I watched Ricky Gervais in 'After Life', it represented how I felt. If you have the mindset of knowing you cannot change what has happened, this programme highlights the fact that we are not alone in our thoughts and feelings of bereavement.
The suggestions below come with an explicit language warning and are from a middle aged bereaved mum's point of view! (More will be added as I investigate via a survey of different age groups)
Try watching some stand up comedians on YouTube such as;

Wicked little letters
Paul

Motherland
Breeders
Brassic
